I2001 Ethernet Interface Module

Information :

The CMI2001 module features Micrel's KSZ8851SNL (single-port, 10/100 Ethernet PHY/MAC controller with 50 MHz SPI interface).   The module provides the following features:
 

  Low profile RJ-45 connector with integrated LEDs and magnetics.
 
DIP switch selectable SPI bus SSN pin position.
  DIP switch selectable IRQ (interrupt request) pin position.
 
Cardstac half card module geometry (60 pin).

The Micrel KSZ8851SN provides the following features:

§         IEEE 802.3/802.3U compliant MAC and PHY layer

§         SPI based control interface facilitating rapid design integration.

§         SPI clock frequencies up to 50MHz.

§         Supports both IPV4 and IPV6 checksum generation and checking.

§         Automatic 32bit CRC generation and checking.

§         12 Kbyte RX FIFO, 6 Kbyte TX FIFO.

Starter software (C code) is available for use with the CMCS001 MSP430 microcontroller module.  This software will allow the user to run a complete Web Server application using the uIP TCP/IP stack. Using this stack, it is possible to run a variety of applications such as Web servers, E-mail servers, Telnet and others.

The CMI2001 module supports the specification (slave half card, 60 pin), and can interface with other modules designed to this specification.
