7/30/2009
– Dallas Logic Corporation enters the FMC (VITA 57.1) arena with
the release of their FMC-ADC01.
Dallas Logic’s
FMC-ADC01, based on Texas Instrument’s ADS64xx family of
analog-to-digital converters (ADCs), supports both 12- and
14-bit devices with sample rates ranging from 65 MSPS to 125
MSPS. Seven front bezel MMCX connectors and a low pin count (LPC)
FMC connector provide the module’s off-board connectivity. In
addition to the four A/D inputs, the module has an external
clock input, synchronization input, and synchronization output.
A flexible SPI or fixed resistor interface supports the ADC’s
customizable configuration. Users can select either an
on-board clock oscillator or provide an external LVPECL or
LVCMOS clock source. Synchronization inputs and outputs support
both LVPECL and LVCMOS standards. An HDL support package is
available for rapid FPGA integration.
The FMC-ADC01
releases September 2009 with initial support for the 12-bit, 125
MSPS ADS6425. Additional ADS64xx member modules will be
released in the 4th quarter of 2009. Interested
parties should contact
requests@dallaslogic.com
for specific module release dates and
pricing.

7/9/2009 -
Dallas Logic Releases Altera® ARRIA® based AMC
Plano, TX -July 9, 2009 -The A01-LVDS module
represents the first low-cost FPGA based Advanced Mezzanine Card
(AMC) available for the ATCA and MicroTCA market.
Dallas Logic Corporation’s launch of the A01-LVDS advances the
company to the forefront of the low cost industrial market. The
A01-LVDS AMC, based on Altera’s® ARRIA® FPGA, supports three
members of the current ARRIA® device family. The design provides
LVDS connectivity via a 68 pin VHDCI connector and is capable of
signaling rates up to 840Mbps. The backplane interface is
independent of any single standard, and can be configured for
PCIE, SRIO or GIGe.
“We recognized a need for low cost FPGA processing solutions.
Only the high end ATCA markets can afford most of the products
offered today. Our design improves the accessibility of MicroTCA
systems for the industrial market,” explained John Tauch,
co-founder Dallas Logic Corporation.
